Renee 3 years old

I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY FAMILY TO FIND ME!!
Just look at this precious babe...ohhhh, she is so sweet!!! Although Renee can’t speak, she is trying to learn the language. She has right mouth and low voice such as “mom, aunt, want, eat and walk” etc. She can understand the adults, can express “yes” or “no” by nodding head or shaking head; she can move on the carpet, from supine position to prone position, then to kneel or crawl; she can stand with hands holding onto support with little help, can stand up alone with hands against the wall or the furniture as well as walk sideways. She is very cooperative with the rehabilitator, and she can walk by a walker when the rehabilitator holds her hip joint; she can kneel with hands holding onto support; she can sit on the carpet with leaning on the wall for a long time; when she sits on the appropriate chair, she can stretch out her arms to maintain a balance. Tension and reflection make her movement limited, but she can work hard and adhere to finish the activity. She can grasp the colorful blocks and can match them well. Tension and reflection would affect her hand-eye coordination. She can transfer a toy from one hand to the other; shoulder adduction and internal rotation is more difficult, which will affect her meal. But she can have a meal with a spoon with little help. Because of high muscular tension in oral cavity, she is affected in her chewing and swallowing; her mouth can be close and open.

She has good understanding, can match 9 colors, circular, triangular, trapezoidal, square. Now she is training naming the objects; she is able to understand orders, can clean nasal mucus and mouth; she can point out her body and can express her thought by body language, such as expressing “yes” or “no” by nodding head and shaking head.

She is clever, active and pretty and she likes sociality; she always has sweet smiles when greeting, and then say hello by body language, which always makes her get attention; she is willing to share her toys with children; sometimes she would give the toy to a child who is younger than her; sometimes she would comfort the child who is crying; when leaving she would say goodbye politely. Renee is a strong and clever little girl.

Carrie Jane 9 years old

UPDATE: My file has been released to the shared list.
UPDATED information: She loves little kids, but she is scared of washing her hair. Up to now, we still couldn't figure out what's the reason she came to be this way. She is willing to be adopted. Dropping out of school is because she will cry whenever there were strangers outside of the classroom, and only the foster family could comfort her and calm her down. She lives in the foster family right now, and really attached to the foster parents, also love kids arounds her, and enjoy her current life. But she doesn't make much progress.

Just thought I'd share. Sounds to me that she is in desperate need of a forever, permanant family so that she can find security!

Carrie Jane is clever girl, intellectual developed well. She currently lives with her foster family. She is shy, talks little to stranger, but she will chat with familiar people sometimes, play house with friends always. She is clever, will help to do what she could do and send wishes to senior citizens, loved by adults. She likes to play very much, sliding board and dolls, she could take good care of younger kids, is a kind girl with a loving heart.

She is clever, will help to do what she could do and send wishes to senior citizens, loved by adults. She likes to play very much, sliding board and dolls, she could take good care of younger kids, is a kind girl with a loving heart. But all of these days she seem to have psychological problems. Once there are strangers who know her visit at home or school, she would looks very anxiety and tension as well as hide herself. In the early of September of 2010 she studies in grade one in primary school. But she can’t adapt the visiting of the strangers. If she meets this, she would hide herself under the desk or cry, which affected normal teaching seriously, and on November of 2010 she quits school; now she can’t go to school. Everyday she does housework and plays at home with foster mother. Her studies don’t been improved.

A Lian almost 3 years old

She is absolutely perfectly created by OUR LORD!!! No mistake made...she was known by our Maker long before He fashioned her in her mother's womb. But you know what...most people don't see her that way...they see a little girl who is not complete...I ASSURE you, she is complete...wonderfully and fearfully made!!! PLEASE help spread the word about this precious one!!!

This is beautiful, amazing A Lian. I have been advocating for this sweet one for a while and still she does not have her forever family. I have this tiny video of her
and it bring me to tears...tears of joy because there is NO doubt she is a bundle of beautiful joy...tears of longing...longing for her to have a forever family to love her!

Sweet A Lian is almost 3 years old and was born with Down's Syndrome. Here's a little bit of info. on this little miracle: A Lian is a completely adorable child. She loves to cuddle and give kisses, and though sometimes solemn, her whole face scrunches up in a ready smile and laugh when interacting. She can dance with the music, and cooperates when the caretakers dress her. She eats with a good appetite, can peel the skin off of fruit by herself, and can drink with a straw. Any family would be blessed to have this sweetheart. A Lian is physically healthy. No heart or thyroid issues have been detected. A Lian - Just learned to walk. She seemed to enjoy walking around with the walker that was present. Wide base of support when walking with arms up in a high guard position (typical for newly acquired walking ability). Wide base of support while sitting. Is able to get on both knees and reach and play in that position. Can go into a 1/2 kneeling position, which is an age appropriate transition movement. Will climb up to get a toy. She is curious and likes to explore. Loved lying in the fresh, warm, clean pile of diapers on the floor. Will scribble circles when given a pen/pencil. Loves to interact with the adults and enjoys just being carried around and played with on your lap.

Will you help me find my mommy and daddy? Please email stacy at lovingthefatherless@gmail.com

XiXi 3 years

Xixi is nearly 3 years old. He is a very affectionate child, hurrying towards people he knows with upraised arms, eager to be held, and wrapping his arms and legs tightly around the individual. He has been at the orphanage since infancy, and gets along well with the other children there. Xixi eats with good appetite and doesn't seem to be picky at all. He can be very dramatic, quickly bringing on tears if he wants attention, and just as quickly breaking into smiles when he has been comforted. Xixi is a bit reticent around strangers, but bonds very strongly once a person has won his trust. He really seems to long for love, and I think he will have no major problem adjusting to a family. Xixi is a little slow to accept new people, but attaches strongly once he warms to them. He is very affectionate, loves to be held, and will often hurry over to a person and hold his arms up to be picked up, wrapping his arms and legs tightly around the person. He loves to play in a calm way; rough-housing sometimes scares him a bit. Always eager with his dimpled smile, his laughter is infectious. He enjoys riding around on cars, pushing others on cars, and playing with others.Visiting therapists said that Xixi seems quite high-functioning, and would likely fit in well with a new family. He is eager for love, and would be a bright spot and a blessing for any family that decided to adopt him.

XiXi - Doing well with walking. He is climbing up onto things and in and out of the car. He is able to push the horn in the car. He was willing to participate with the drawing activities (scribbling for his age) with the other children. He has good sitting balance on the gym ball and able to maintain his balance when the ball was moved in all directions. While sitting on the ground, he does maintain a wide base of support (as is typical for Down Syndrome). He is able to hold the crayon with his 3 fingers in an immature grip. He was able to run and get in and out of the car on his own.

Special Need: Down Syndrome

NanNan almost 7 years old

NanNan was abandoned at 3 or 4 years old. He is a very energetic boy who can be mischievous, but responds well to attention and having his energy channeled into more productive areas. He enjoys being given helpful tasks to do, and is proud of himself when he achieves anything. He has a very healthy appetite and will eat almost anything, but has a special fondness for sweats. NanNan responds well to love, and would adapt well to having a permanent family. He is an active child who enjoys physical play. He plays chase with his friends, rides cars or bikes, plays ball, imitates the actions of actors on TV, dances to music, and draws or colors simple pictures. He can turn on the TV and water tap, can read facial expression when others praise or reproach him. He is independent for basic things such as putting on his own clothes and shoes, washing himself, going to the bathroom by himself, and feeding himself with a spoon. His appetite is excellent, and he has quite a sweet tooth. He is frequently helpful by offering to help the ayis mop the floor or clean the tables. NanNan is physically healthy. No heart or thyroid issues have been detected. When he had a CT scan on his head, nothing unusual was detected.

Nan Nan- Doing well with his gross motor skills. Runs well. He was able to maintain his balance well on the gym ball when it was moved in all directions. He has some discipline issues but responds well when given attention. Following a little bit of one on one attention, he was able to be redirected and was no longer seeking out the negative attention. He loves to play. He responds well when other children want to hug him.

Special Need: Downs Syndrome

Qui 12 years old

Just look at this precious boy!!!!!!!!!!!! He desperately needs his forever family!

Qiu is an exceptional 11 year old boy. He
is an especially sweet and helpful little boy. Qiu is very dramatic and creative, and will imitate the actions of TV actors, dance with the music, and paint simple pictures. One of his favorite things to do is sing karaoke, and he will use any opportunity to perform for his audience. He is very energetic, and loves riding his bike or cars around and playing on the playground. He is sensitive to other’s moods, and can read facial expressions when others are praising or reproaching him. He can turn on the TV and water tap, and generally is independent for basic things like putting on his own clothes and shoes, bathing himself, going to the bathroom, and feeding himself. Jin Qiu loves to help, and offers to assist the ayis by mopping the floor, cleaning the tables, and quickly reacting when the other kids have fallen down by rushing to pick them up. If he does not feel well, he knows how to go to our clinic and point at his stomach to communicate his discomfort.

Qiu is physically healthy. No heart or thyroid issues have been detected. Qiu is 11 years old, and needs a family soon, or he will be stuck in the government care system his whole life. He is a very sweet, loving boy, and would be a blessing to any family that adopted him!

Qiu - He has high level gross motor skills. He is able to run and jump rope. Grip strength is good as he was able to squeeze a water bottle and was able to hold a pencil appropriately. Given a sample of 3 shapes, he is able to draw a circle, approximate a square and triangle. He is able to draw a vertical line. He is very affectionate. He wants to please those around him as demonstrated by his willingness to help. He was able to follow visual instructions to assist with the sensory activities with the other children. He was very kind and gentle with his dealings while doing these activities. He also was willing to help the Ayis with folding the diapers each afternoon. He follows a routine well as even at 11 years old, he was able to take a mid-afternoon nap while the younger children were napping. I think he has great potential for learning academic skills as he willingly participated with quiet activities when others were running around. He does love to sing and dance but will sit and cuddle, given the opportunity.

Although he prefers the company of people, Luke also loves playing with toys, especially those he can manipulate with his hands. He eats well and is currently on a diet of soy milk, though he will begin eating solid foods soon. Luke has been cared for by a foster family since he was seven weeks old.
